Brookhill     North Carolina    The excitement of local steeplechasing continues on May 1, 1999 with the sixth running of the Brookhill Steeplechase. Sanctioned by the National Steeplechase Association (NSA), and offering a purse of $60,000, the Brookhill Steeplechase has quickly become the area's premier upscale sporting and entertainment event. A day of steeplechasing is an experience unlike any other -- aptly described as something like a cavalry charge past a great lawn party. Securing over 60 corporate sponsorships in 1998, the Brookhill Steeplechase presents a unique marketing venue and an excellent opportunity to entertain business associates and personal friends.   Six races are planned for the day and up to ten of the nation's top horses face the starter's flag in each contest. The half hour between each race is filled with hospitality and conversation as spectators unwind with talk of sport, society, and business.  The Brookhill Steeplechase is run annually on the first Saturday in May on beautiful Brookhill Farm, in Clayton, North Carolina. Only twelve minutes from the Raleigh beltline and easily accessed by US-70 East, Brookhill Farm features hundreds of acres of rolling countryside and a 20-acre sparkling lake, surrounded by majestic pines and hardwoods.
