National hunt Racehorse trainer, Kim Bailey    Kim Bailey  comes from a family steeped in National Hunt racing: his father trained racehorses successfully for many years and his mother was a leading point-to-point rider.   With this background Kim, after having a few point-to-point and National Hunt rides, naturally progressed into training. He is now a leading racehorse trainer in national hunt horseracing.   Kim's training methods unite orthodox procedures with an individual approach that generates the best possible performance from his horses. His training philosophy continues to be the blending of his knowledge of horses with the patience and individual care that they need.    Prior to setting up on his own he worked with Humphrey Cotterill, Captain Tim Forster and with Fred Rimell (where he won the Cheltenham Gold Cup with Royal Frolic, the Champion Hurdle with Comedy of Errors and the Grand National with Rag Trade).

Les Eyre Racing    Les Eyre is probably one of the most successful and popular trainers in Great Britain. Since 1993, when Les moved north to the Hambleton Hills, high above the Market Town of Thirsk, North Yorkshire, he has sent out over 150 winners and improved his standing every year in the Trainers tables.  Currently, there are over 80 horses in training and confidence is growing that 1998 will be his best year to date. His impish smile, coupled with his quick wit and dry sense of humor make Les a favorite with the racing media and he is often seen giving impromptu interviews on television. As a family man, Les and his partner, Melanie, have two children, Michael and Charlotte. Hambleton House, their home for the last 5 years has virtually had to be re-built, "it needed a little work doing when we moved here" says Les, who does tend to underestimate!  He had so few horses at the time he moved there, that he had to spread them about and throw wood shavings all over the place, just to make it look busy.
